Screen printing

Method 01 ยท Screen printing

The classic,
perfected.

Screen printing is a time-tested craft known for producing vivid, opaque prints.

At a glance

The craft

Ink pushed through mesh, one colour at a time.

Screen printing, also called serigraphy, is a stencil-based printing process. A fine fabric mesh is stretched over an aluminum frame and coated with a UV-sensitive emulsion. When the coated screen is exposed to UV light through a film positive, the emulsion hardens everywhere except in the areas covered by the artwork.

On the press, a squeegee glides across the screen, forcing ink through the open areas of the mesh onto the material below. Each colour requires a separate screen and printing pass. The result is a print with depth, opacity and a distinctive tactile finish.

the process

Five steps from artwork to cured print.

05

Curing

The printed garment passes through a conveyor dryer at a controlled temperature. This cures the ink and allows it to bond with the fibres, creating a durable, wash-resistant finish.

04

Printing

Ink is spread across the screen, and a squeegee pushes it through the open mesh onto the material. Each colour is applied through a separate screen.

03

Press setup

The screen is mounted on the carousel press and aligned with the other screens in multicolour designs.

02

Exposure

A film positive containing your artwork is placed over the screen before UV exposure. The exposed emulsion hardens, while the areas blocked by the artwork remain soluble and are washed away to create the open stencil.

01

Coating

A polyester mesh stretched on an aluminum frame is coated with a photosensitive emulsion.Once dry, it forms a smooth, light-sensitive surface that becomes the printable stencil.

The inks

Four families, countless the finishes.

The ink choice defines the look, the feel and the longevity of the print. We help you pick the right system for your fabric, your audience, and your brand vocabulary.

Plastisol

The workhorse

PVC-based ink that sits on top of the fabric in a thick, vivid, opaque deposit. Unbeatable on dark garments and the gold standard for sportswear, merch and bold graphics.

best for

Cotton tees, hoodies, sportswear, dark colors

Water-based

The soft hand

Pigment penetrates into the fibers rather than sitting on top. The print becomes part of the fabric, soft to the touch, breathable, with a vintage, fashion-forward feel.

best for

Premium tees, fashion brands, light garments

Discharge

The dyed-out look

A bleaching agent removes the original dye and replaces it with new pigment in one pass. Zero hand-feel, ultra-soft finish, exclusive to 100% cotton and reactive-dyed garments.

best for

100% cotton, soft vintage prints, retail apparel

Specialty inks

Tactile finishes

Puff, metallic, glitter, glow-in-the-dark, suede, high-density, reflective. Used as accents to add dimension, sparkle or surprise to a flat print.

best for

Accent details, premium merch, statement pieces

The palette

Pantone-matched,
mixed in-house.

Every ink is hand-mixed by our production team using the Pantone Solid Coated system as a reference. We weigh and blend each formula, then test it on a sample of the selected garment before production begins.

This helps us reproduce your colour as consistently as possible.

why silkscreen

A proven printing method for more than a century.

Thick ink coverage

Silkscreen printing can produce a thicker ink layer than many digital methods, contributing to strong opacity, vibrant colour, and long-lasting results.

Built to outlast trends

When properly cured and cared for, silkscreen prints offer excellent resistance to cracking, peeling, and fading.

Pantone-matched colours

Every ink is mixed in-house using your Pantone reference. This helps maintain consistent results from one production run to the next.

A wide range of materials

We print on cotton, polyester, blends, canvas tote bags, hoodies, posters, and technical fabrics, selecting the appropriate ink for each material.

Cost-effective at higher volume

Because setup costs are fixed, the cost per piece generally decreases as order quantities increase. This makes Screen printing a cost-effective option for medium-to-large runs.

Unmatched visual depth

Its thick ink deposit creates distinctive depth and texture, especially under angled light.

technical specs

The numbers behind every run.

Need oversized, all-over, or sleeve prints? We run jumbo platens and specialty fixtures on demand, just ask.
